Your data

The contact form. What you write in it, your name, your email address and your message, is sent to me through Netlify Forms, a service of the site’s host, in the United States (Netlify takes part in the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework). I use it only to answer you, which is what you ask by sending it, and delete it at most three years after our last exchange.

The host’s logs. As any host does, Netlify records the requests made to the site, your network address among them, to run and secure its service: see its privacy policy.

The count of visits. To know how many people see this site and how they come to it, the site counts its visits itself, with no cookie, through a function of its host, Netlify, which keeps the counts in its storage, in the United States, under the same framework. A visit is counted under a random number your browser forgets when you close the tab: nothing ties it to your next one. What is counted: each page you see and the time you spend on it, the site you came from (its address alone), the files and links you open, and whether you send a message, never what it says. On your first page, it also counts the language your browser asks for and the size of your screen, and the host adds the country and the city your network address lies in, and the kinds of device, browser and system you use. Neither your network address nor anything else that could recognize you is kept. Only I read these counts, which I keep for my legitimate interest in knowing how the site is seen, and they are deleted after 25 months. If your browser asks sites not to track it (Global Privacy Control, Do Not Track), nothing is counted, and you can stop the count yourself with the switch below.

Your rights. You may see what concerns you, have it corrected or deleted, limit its use or object to it, by writing to harounkrifa35@gmail.com. If you feel your rights are not respected, you may complain to the CNIL, cnil.fr.

Cookies and storage

This site sets no cookies. Your browser keeps a few choices for you, which never leave it: the theme and the motion you chose, whether you have already seen the first visit’s greeting and its guide, and your no to the count of visits, if you said it. While a tab of the site is open, it also keeps the random number its visit is counted under, which it forgets when the tab closes. Clearing the site’s data in your browser removes them all.
