Lots of asset packs on Fab only come as uncooked .uasset files, the format the Unreal editor saves. FModel and umodel are built for cooked games, so the usual way to get such a pack into Blender is to install Unreal and export from there. This tool reads the files directly: the source mesh, the full-size textures and the material parameters. A Blender extension, or one command, turns a whole pack into a .blend with its materials set up. It’s plain Python with no dependencies, and it can also export glTF for other engines.
